All Together Services

On the first Sunday of each month, we have an all-together service at 10.30am, which is meant for adults and children, so there are no other children’s groups that day.

On other Sundays, at 10.30am we have special groups for children and young people.

Sunday Groups

Our groups meet during the 10.30 service in the church hall on Sundays during term time. Children and young people initially come into the church for the start of the service and then head off to their classes. 

• Gateway (Reception & KS1) and Explorers (KS2) are our Sunday groups for children of primary school age. We have games and crafts each week, and we meet God in the Bible.
• Pathfinders (KS3) and Revive (KS4) are for young people of secondary school age. We have social time and do a Bible study dealing with real-life issues.
• We usually run a small supervised Creche for younger children, giving parents time to focus on the worship. There is also a room in the church building where you can retreat with younger children during the service if needed.

Midweek groups

123 Club is our midweek playgroup for children aged three and under and their parents/carers. It meets on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Holiday Events

We run an annual Holiday Club in the last week of the summer holidays, which is very popular.

We run occasional Saturday afternoon children’s events called The Treat, including at Easter and the end of October.

We also put on an annual Nativity at Christmas.

Summer Holiday Club 2025

Our Holiday Club, Cindiana Jones & Pharaoh's Palace, will take place at the end of August for all kids in North Finchley.

Come and join us for games, craft, drama and stories from the Bible as we learn about Jesus in this quest themed holiday club. 

Who is it for? 

This is a supervised group where you can drop your children in school years Reception-Year 6 (2024-2025). We will be teaching stories from the Bible but we welcome all children of all faiths or none and children of all abilities - do let us know in advance if your child would benefit from extra support for any reason.

Who is it run by?

We are an Anglican church with many years experience of running holiday clubs and groups for children. All our leaders are DBS checked with the relevant safeguarding training. We run this on a not-for-profit basis to make the club as open to as many people as possible.

What does it cost? 

£10 per child for the week. 

How do I book?

Complete this form for each child and send payment by BACS or cheque or pay on the day.

ما چه نوع کلیسایی هستیم؟ 

 ما یک کلیسای انگلیکن انجیلی هستیم.  «انجیلی» به این معنی است که مژده عیسی در مرکز همه کارهای ما قرار دارد، و اجازه می دهیم آنچه خدا در کتاب مقدس می گوید ما را هدایت کند و ما را به عنوان یک کلیسا و به عنوان افراد شکل دهد.  «انگلیکان» به این معنی است که ما بخشی از کلیسای انگلستان هستیم که شاخه ای از پروتستانتیسم است. با این حال، برای پیوستن به ما لازم نیست از یک پیشینه انگلیکن یا انجیلی باشید.  فقط بیا و شرکت کن و خودت ببین  و با خیال راحت هر کاری را که انجام می دهیم زیر سوال ببرید

We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.

Over seven sessions in Mark’s Gospel, guests find out more about the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ.   

The structure of each session is simple:

• a short Bible study,
• a video, and
• a discussion based on the video.

Colombo Theological Seminary

CTS is a seminary in the heart of Sri Lanka's capital Colombo. It provides Bible education in English, Sinhala and Tamil to God's people of all backgrounds and denominations.

Homeless Action in Barnet (HAB)

HAB provide support for Barnet's most vulnerable people, providing a welcome, food and a shower to homeless people in the borough. The charity supports people to overcome their issues and assists them in finding accommodation and reestablishing their independence.

Open Doors

Every day, millions of Christians risk their lives to follow Jesus. Open Doors supports people in more than 60 countries, providing emergency relief and helping persecuted believers stand strong for the long term. In the UK and Ireland, Open Doors helps the church to pray, give and speak out for those who share our faith but not our freedom.

Pathway

This charity provides quality Christian education to children across North London, meeting more than 10,000 children each term throughout Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. The team takes lessons and leads assemblies and lunchtime clubs, aiming to teach the Bible in lively ways while being sensitive to the multi-cultural character of most communities.

SIM International (UK)

Through this charity, we support a missionary family bringing the gospel's good news to Lebanon.

The Church Army

Christ Church has a long-standing association with this incredible organisation which works so people everywhere can encounter God's love and be empowered to transform their communities through faith shared in words and actions.

Wycliffe Bible Translators

We support the work of Gareth & Katharine Mort, who work on Bible translation in Nigeria in the Kamuku area.

Each group meets in someone's home in the North Finchley area and they take place on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings.
