Kumon Maths

Our maths programme helps children of all ages and ability levels to develop maths skills and a love of numbers. Our students are aged two to older children and each one is assessed at the beginning of their Kumon journey to ensure they work at just the right level. Study is set according to ability, regardless of age or school year, making it the obvious choice for any student wanting to progress or excel in maths.

The programme goes right from the very basics of recognising numbers all the way to complex mathematical theories in small steps, building ability gradually along the way. We believe that every child has the potential to succeed in maths and our experienced instructors support them to achieve this. Students acquire an ability to self-learn while developing understanding and fluency of each topic before moving on to another.

NLU3A

Are you retired or semi-retired and living in North London? Then North London U3A could be for you.  

The NLU3A think that lifelong learning should be a pleasure – it need never stop. They can offer you a chance to learn new skills and perhaps persuade you to share your own specialist skills and provide the opportunity to meet new like-minded people.

NLU3A offers over 50 interest groups whose meetings are held in people’s homes or large venues across Finchley, Muswell Hill and Highgate. Subjects covered include humanities, arts & crafts, music & dance, foreign languages, together with social and historic aspects of London and walks both local and further afield.

There is also a monthly meeting where you can meet up with friends both old and new, to hear talks on varied and interesting subjects by one of our invited speakers.

U3A Playreading is an informal group that meets fortnightly at on Wednesdays from 2 - 4p.m.

We  borrow plays from the library to read and enjoy. No acting experience is necessary, just a love of plays. We are also not gender specific, and we change parts around so that  everyone has a chance to join in.

Stage Academy

Every Monday after school…

Stage Academy Jrs 4-6s (4.30-5.30pm)

Stage Academy Jrs. is an exciting, high energy class combining fun drama activities and games, singing, dancing and the power of imagination into one life changing experience that will help your child to make new friends, express their individuality and prepare them for the adventures and challenges of growing up.

Whether your child is already a bundle of confidence or an inquisitive observer just waiting to come out of their shell, our industry leading teaching team helps every child to explore and grasp their full potential. All of our teachers have trained at renowned performing arts schools or have years of theatrical experience (or both!) so they’re fully equipped to help your child get the most out of our classes.

Stage Academy 7-12s (4-6pm)

Stage Academy is an innovative and unique part-time performing arts school for 6 to 18 year olds. Committed to bringing out the full potential of every student we work exclusively with industry professional teachers to deliver our tailor made curriculum. Every week students receive tuition in acting, singing, dancing and a termly specialist subject to capture their imagination.

As well as nurturing incredible performers, Stage Academy’s ethos is to inspire its students with the self-confidence, teamwork, ambition and responsibility they need to achieve success in everything they do.

The hall is also available for hire to individuals and community groups. Regular groups using the hall include Scottish Dancing, Line Dancing, Badminton, Short Tennis, Pilates, Enjoy-a-Ball and Aerobics. You can meet some of our Hall users here.

Large Hall

The Large Hall is a sizeable open space of 20m x 10m in dimension.

There is a stage at one end and a roof high enough that the badminton people are happy. There is a large hatch through into the kitchen, which can be used to warm up and serve food and cooking.

The space takes 160. 18 tables are available for use, along with approximately 90 large chairs, and 30 very small chairs for children. The space is ideal for children's parties, being large enough for children to run around in and have fun.

The area of the room is around 200m^₂ (2153 ft^₂), and the ceiling height is about 5m (16ft).

Parking for 16 vehicles.

Small Hall

The Small Hall is a simple space, with tables and chairs available to set up. It's a good space for small-scale community gatherings and meetings. The room features ballet wall bars, crash mats, and a piano.

The area of the room is around 55m² (592 ft²), and the ceiling height is about 2.5m (8ft). 

Use of the kitchenette can be arranged if needed.

Parks Lounge

The Parks Lounge is an intimate space suitable for small events, e.g. community meetings, arts, dance or children's activities. The room features approximately 20 soft chairs and several low desks. It is adjacent to the kitchen and is connected by a hatch through which tea, coffee and food can be served.

The area of the room is around 32m² (344 ft²), and the ceiling height is about 2.5m (8ft). 

The venue has parking (about 16 spaces), newly-refurbished toilets, a disabled toilet and disabled access. Hirers can use the Hall's modern kitchen if needed.
